I'm looking to re-do my family room, without spending a fortune. Any ideas on how I can do a quick and inexpensive makeover?
ReplyDeletePaint, Paint Paint! A fresh coat of paint can add new life to any room and what's better...it gives the room direction.
ReplyDeleteOnce you get paint on the walls, think about what furniture can be given a fresh coat as well. You'll be surprised as to how easy it is to transform and out dated piece of furniture with either a deep, rich stain, or some black paint to give it a modern look.
After you've painted the pieces you want to paint, take a step back and see how you can re-arrange your existing pieces in a new way. Talk about adding new life to your room at absolutely zero cost! You can even bring in accessories from another room to complete the look.
Next add curtains, some new throw pillows and a few pieces of art work...and you've got yourself a make-over!
Try shopping at some over stock stores for the drapes and artwork to save some money. You can get really expensive looking drapes with an inexpensive price tag by shopping at these stores.
